Empire Engine Firehouse Winner of 2019 Building Brooklyn Awards!
This extraordinary Empire Engine Firehouse project in Boerum Hill won the 2019 Building Brooklyn Award for Adaptive Reuse - Mixed Use. The award was presented by Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President during a gala at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.
The project was the result of the collaboration between Julian LaVerdiere and Erica Hohf, owners and designers and Dameron Architects. The transformation of the mid-19th-century Empire Engine 19 firehouse was carefully curated to amplify the history of the place.
